KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Law Society (SLS) met with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor to give an update on the Society’s initiatives and proposed partnership with the State Government on state laws reform.
Its president, Roger Chin led the SLS entourage to the courtesy call on Chief Minister at Menara Kinabalu this morning.
Chin briefed Hajiji, among others, on the SLS Legal Aid services, which its members were providing voluntarily to the community in Sabah.
He also spoke on SLS’ support to the Borneo International Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (BICAM) and the forthcoming Commonwealth Law Conference, which the SLS plans to hold.
Chin also shared that the SLS is assisting the country’s legal team in fighting the arbitration award to the Sulu Sultanate heirs.
The SLS, Chin said has plans to visit several countries to offer legal services with the view to support the State Government in attracting foreign investors to Sabah.
